5 Strand Braid

Brush and divide hair into 5 strands 

Move strand 1 over strand 2 and under strand 3 

Weave strand 5 over strand 4 and under strand 1 

Repeat steps one and two: move strand 2 over strand 3 and under strand 5 & place strand 4 over strand 1 and under strand 2.

Repeat for the entire length of the braid and secure with a hair tie.

11 Strand Braid 

Create a 5 strand braid

Section a piece of hair next to the braid and start a three strand braid, however weaving into the 5 strand every 2 plaits. Then proceed to weave another three strand braid into the braid you just finished. 

Basket Plait 

Start against the head, create 5 sections, start as a 5 strand plait. 

With every new plait, take a piece of hair from a side and weave until you have reached the middle 

Take another section from the opposite side and repeat 

Keep repeating these steps until you have incorporated all the hair into the braid

Make sure you pull the hair tight after each braid and keep braiding until you have no hair left.

Secure with a hair tie.
