Volume & Lift inspired by 50s, 60s and 70s

50s, 60s & 70s hair is all about creating volume at the top of the head.

To create a beehive updo you will need:

Hairbrush
Teasing Comb
Rat Tail Comb
Curling Iron
Sectioning clips
Hair Pins
Hairspray

First comb through the hair freeing any tangles or knots
Section the hair from ear to ear, clip the bottom section to separate the two sections.
Section the front section out
Use a curling iron and curl the rest of the section, the curls will create more volume underneath when backcombed.
Start to backcomb the curled hair taking small sections at a time with a teasing comb
Once you have created volume, take the section you left out at the start and comb over the volume
Make sure the outer surface is smooth and the shape is even .
Twist and push up, secure with hair pins
Take the bottom section you left out at the start and bring up to incorporate into a bun.
